Polito (Name Gitan ) was born 1929 as son of Gustave "Chocolat", 
stayed in the shadow of his older brother Ricardo ( Manitas de Plata )
In his childhood his family travels through Europe in a caravan.
1972 he lost a son in Sts. Maries by a car accident.
During the next years, he was at his ends, didn't speak, play. He restarted
to live as his children "massakered" their guitars, played as wrong as possible,
took his guitar and showed what guitar - playing is.
Is now a sort of mentor and teacher of the young musicians.
As I must learn, he died on May, 27th, just after pilgrimage.

together and exchange chords.

Manuel Arenas is son-in-law of Manitas de Plata, married with
Christiane, oldest daughter of Manitas.
Born 1943 in Marseille as son of an Andalousian Cantaor Torero, he is
father of 5 sons and grandfather since the age of 37.
He and his family live in Montpellier
He was the "lead" of the legendary "Los Baliardos", playing with Manitas de Plata.

He died in November 1999
